The venture is looking for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to provide sound technical leadership in all aspects of our business. You will communicate internally, with stakeholders and towards customers to ensure our company’s technical core is used appropriately and develops in line with our vision. You get the opportunity to shape the concept for a unique cloud-based product. Strategic thinking and strong business acumen are essential in this role. Tasks

  • Develop the venture’s technology roadmap for best-fitting implementation of our vision
  • Ensure technologies are used efficiently, profitably and securely
  • Evaluate and implement new systems and infrastructure as necessary
  • Adapt technological to business strategy
  • Build, monitor and be responsible for meaningful KPIs
  • Communicate technology strategy internally, to partners and investors
  • Manage external tech provider in line with the product description
  • Build inhouse tech team

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CTO or similar role
  • Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy
  • In-depth knowledge on cloud-based systems and potential pitfalls and shortcomings
  • In-depth knowledge on master data architecture (e.g. semantics)
  • In-depth knowledge on highly scalable architectures (e.g. event driven, interaction model)
  • In-depth knowledge on operationalization and scaling of (multi-) cloud services
  • Understanding of budgets and business-planning
  • Ability to conduct technological analyses and research
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Leadership and organizational abilities
  • Strategic thinking
  • Problem-solving aptitude
  • Agile mind set (see agile manifesto)
  • BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, MBA or other relevant graduate degree is a plus
